The Requirement
Suspend a matrix of various length wood-grain beams directly from drop-ceiling grid without any additional support.
The Challenge
The wood-grain matrix must be easily installed, easily field-modified, and be well within the capacity of the grid to support. Each beam was to be two-inches thick, by one-foot wide and eight-feet long.
The Solution
- Each beam weighed just 11pounds.
- LamLite used its patented suspension system for drop ceiling applications to suspend the matrix of beams.
- LamLite’s patented suspension system enabled the installers to suspend the beams from the standard two-foot by two-foot ceiling grid configuration.
- To install the beams. three men quickly clipped the suspended beams to the standard drop-ceiling grid configuration.
- The three men completed the work in 12 hours.
